What We Believe
We believe in one eternal God, Creator and Lord, Existing in three
persons: Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit.
Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 40:28; Matthew
28:19
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, that
he died on the cross to redeem us from the guilt and penalty of sin, and that he rose bodily from the grave to
guarantee eternal life to all who repent and believe.
John 1:1-14; John 3:16-18; Acts
2:22-38; Acts 4:12; Romans 6:23;
I Corinthians 15:1-7, Ephesians 2
We believe eternal salvation requires a personal acceptance of Jesus
Christ as Savior and Lord. On acceptance of Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the believer as counselor
and guide, providing the power to live as Christ's ambassador.
John 1:10-12; Romans 8:9-11; Romans
10:9-10; Acts 1:8; Acts 16:31; I Corinthians 12:13
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word
of God, without error in all that it affirms. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation,
and the divine and final authority in all matters of doctrine and Christian
living.
John 17:17; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter
1:16-21
We believe a Christian should be baptized and celebrate the Lord's table according to the New
Testament, and should participate as a responsible member of a local church. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-47, 1
Corinthians 11
We believe the mission of the Church is to proclaim the Gospel, to win
others to Christ, and to disciple them in God's word and their commitment to
Him.
Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans
12:1-8; Ephesians 4:11-16
We believe in the visible coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ at the
end of this age, to take His people to be with Him for eternity. We believe in the resurrection of both the
saved and the lost, the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto the resurrection of
damnation.
Mark 13:21-27; Mark14:61-62; Acts 1:8-11; Revelation 21:1-5, John
5:28-29
